Service increases highlight latest round of system updates
ALBANY, NY (August 8, 2024) The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) will make service changes to routes on Sunday, August 18, 2024. Most of these changes are seasonal. Adjustments are made on a regular basis in response to ridership trends, development patterns, as well as customer and employee input. Please review schedules and check trip times for the following routes:
Service Updates:
- Route #12 (Washington Avenue) – Weekday frequency will be increased. All trips to operate via Washington Avenue, near UAlbany Downtown Campus.
- Route #114 (Madison Ave. – Washington Ave.) – Weekday frequency will be increased. All trips operate via Western Avenue instead of Washington Avenue.
- Route #910 (Purple Line BRT) – Frequency will be increased. Service ends later Friday and Saturday.
- Route #224 (Albany – Troy Via I-90) – Weekday frequency will be increased.
- Route #452 (Skidmore College/Downtown Saratoga) – Late night trips will resume.
- Route #286 (Troy/Wynantskill) – Late night trips will resume.
- Route #106 (Uptown Belt) – All trips will start and end in Downtown Albany.
- Route #450 (Schenectady/Wilton) – Select trips will extend to Glendale Home in Glenville.
Eliminated Routes:
- Route #111 (Western Ave/Fuller Rd) – Customers can use Route #114 to get to their destination.
Minor adjustments will be made to the following routes and schedules:
- Route #182 (Troy – Albany via Cohoes and Latham)
