CDTA will operate year-round, fixed route public transit services to the greater Glens Falls area. Routes span portions of Warren, Washington and Saratoga counties and include Glens Falls, Queensbury, South Glens Falls, Lake George, Hudson Falls, Kingsbury, Fort Edward, and Moreau.
CDTA provides mobility solutions that connect the Capital Region with support from a large network of partners. We are focused on expanding our mobility menu to offer a cohesive and flexible transportation network for our customers that includes regular routes, bus rapid transit, express, on-demand transit (FLEX), bike share (CDPHP Cycle!), electric car share (DRIVE), seasonal trolleys, park and ride, and paratransit service for customers with disabilities.

Beginning January 1, 2024, the Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) will assume the operations of Greater Glens Falls Transit. We are excited to welcome new employees, connect with a new group of valued customers and look forward to introducing ourselves to the community and its leaders. As we gain operating experience, we will assess any changes and improvements that offer better access throughout the Greater Glens Falls service area. We are proud to connect your neighborhoods, drive economic development, and improve regional transit options.
Warren County service will continue with new Route numbers outlined below:
- Route 402: Bay College - between Ridge St. Terminal and SUNY Adirondack
- Route 404: Hudson Falls / Fort Edward - between Ridge St Terminal and Amtrak Station
- Route 405: Moreau / S. Glens Falls - between Ridge St. Terminal, South Glens Falls, and Moreau
- Route 407: West Glens Falls - between Ridge St. Terminal and West Glens Falls
- Route 411: Glen Street / Walmart - between Ridge St. Terminal and Route 9 Walmart
- Route 412: Glen Street / Aviation Mall - between Ridge St. Terminal, Aviation Mall, and Montcalm Apts
- Route 419: Route 9 / Lake George - between Ridge St. Terminal and Lake George Village

- What is the service area for Warren County?
CDTA will operate year-round, fixed route public transit services to the greater Glens Falls area. Routes span portions of Warren, Washington and Saratoga counties and include Glens Falls, Queensbury, South Glens Falls, Lake George, Hudson Falls, Kingsbury, Fort Edward, and Moreau. Routes operate Monday through Friday from 6:30am – 9:45pm and on Saturdays from 8:00am–6:00pm.
- How do I know where the bus goes?
CDTA schedules will be available on all buses and at libraries, museums, government offices, banks, and shopping centers. Customers can also view schedules online at www.cdta.org or by downloading the Navigator mobile app from the Apple or Google Play Store. Customers can continue to call (518) 792-1085 for route information, schedules, and existing programs. The Customer Service Center is open seven days a week at (518) 482-8822 so you can speak with a customer representative about general CDTA information.
- Will there still be transfers?
Yes, if your trip with requires you take two consecutive buses, you can still purchase a reduced-price transfer. Please notify the operator upon boarding that you need to transfer at the Ridge St. Terminal. The operator will charge you the additional amount and give you a transfer slip that must be handed to the next operator. Please note: transfers must be used on the next available connecting bus.
- Where can I purchase bus passes and tokens?
Multi-ride passes may be purchased at Glens Falls City Hall or by contacting the CDTA Glens Falls office. Single ride tokens can be purchased by businesses and agencies for their customers and clients as they have been.
- Will fares remain the same?
Yes, the regular fare is $1.00 with 50 cent transfers between buses. Customers 60+ years of age, those who are Medicare eligible, and persons with a documented disability can ride for half fare. Multi–ride passes are available along with single ride tokens.
Riding With CDTA
CDTA has installed more than 200 new bus stops across the service network to enhance safety and improve operations. Plan on arriving at your stop at least five to 10 minutes before your scheduled departure when possible. Make sure you know the route number and schedule of the bus you will be taking. Plus, make sure that you are on the correct side of the street and stand up as the bus approaches to signal to the operator that you are ready to board.
Safety and Sanitary Protocols
We have implemented strict cleaning protocols on buses and in facilities to provide a safe experience for our customers. While masks are no longer required, CDTA encourages everyone to be respectful of customers and employees who choose to wear a mask. Your safety is important to us.
Our Code of Conduct is in place to address everyday safety issues. In an emergency, our operators can summon police and medical assistance. Emergency-exit instructions are displayed inside all CDTA buses. If you have a concern or see suspicious activity, please tell the bus operator immediately or call the Customer Service Center at (518) 482-8822.

Riding Rules for Customers
To ensure the safety and comfort of all riders, we ask that you observe the following rules and guidelines:
NO SMOKING on CDTA buses. It’s a New York State Law.
NO EATING or DRINKING on CDTA buses, and please do not litter.
NO PLAYING RADIOS or other audio equipment while on CDTA buses. Please use headphones at low volume.
NO FIREARMS on any CDTA bus.
NO ANIMALS on CDTA buses unless in a carrier that can fit on your lap or feet. Service animals, such as seeing-eye dogs, are permitted.
NO VANDALISM or damage to buses or shelters will be tolerated. CDTA will prosecute.
NO GAMBLING on any CDTA bus.
