(Albany, NY) – Yesterday, it was announced that CDTA will receive$9.5 Million in grant funds for Completion of Route 5 BusPlus Operations and several fleet replacement Vehicles. $5.5 million of this investment are funds received from the U.S.

(Albany, NY)  –The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) announced that on Columbus Day, Monday, October 10, 2011, buses will operate on a regular weekday schedule except for NX Northway Xpress Commuter service, which will not operate.

CDTA is bringing the Don’t X Out Public Transit campaign to its riders. The advocacy campaign opposes proposed federal cuts of 30% to transportation. Public transit is crucial to stimulating the economy and connecting people to jobs. Cuts to transit funding will likely force transit agencies to reduce service and/or raise fares, compromise the safety and quality of transit service, lead to major job loss and negatively impact the Capital Region’s quality of life.

(ALBANY) Continuing their commitment to help individuals with disabilities live independently, the New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) and the Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) have announced 24 additional months of free unlimited bus passes to Capital Region residents with disabilities who purchase a home through OPWDD’s Home of Your Own program (HOYO).
