CDTA Service Changes Take Effect January 25, 2015
The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) has announced the following service changes will go into effect on Sunday, January 25, 2015. Highlights include improved service on key trunk routes and enhanced frequency on high performing neighborhood routes. Some minor time adjustments have also been made to other routes for schedule reliability.

ALBANY, NY (December 30, 2014) The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) completed 2014 with record ridership, further recognition of its innovative transit system and new customer programs. CDTA is on track to serve 17 million riders this fiscal year, eclipsing the record set just one year ago. Ridership gains and system improvements continue to be driven by efforts to position the system as a better way to travel.
CDTA Board Approves Articulated Bus Purchase

ALBANY, NY (December 17, 2014) The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) Board of Directors approved the purchase of two articulated buses that are expected to be used on high volume routes and future Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) lines.
“The addition of articulated buses will help to relieve overcrowding we are seeing on many routes due to increased ridership,” CDTA Board Chairman David M. Stackrow said. “It’s also another innovative message to the community about the critical services we provide and a look into our vision for the future.”
CDTA Announces Holiday Service Schedules

(Albany, N.Y.) – The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) has announced that on New Year’s Eve, Wednesday, December 31, 2014, service will operate on a regular weekday schedule. To help support Capital Region Stop DWI efforts, CDTA will offer free bus service at all regular bus stops from 8:00pm on New Year’s Eve, Wednesday, December 31, 2014 through 1:00am on Thursday, January 1, 2015.
