A gingerbread house created by Questar III BOCES students will also be on display
RENSSELAER, NY (December 5, 2024) The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) is once again partnering with Questar III BOCES to offer holiday concerts this festive season at the Joseph L. Bruno Rail Station. The concerts will take place on Friday, December 6, Friday, December 13, and Friday, December 20. Morning commuters will enjoy the joyful melodies of the holidays performed by students from Rensselaer Junior-Senior High School, Maple Hill Senior High School, and Columbia High School. The schools will have students from both their band and choir programs.
New this year, Questar III BOCES Career and Technical Education students from Robert H. Gibson Technical School in Troy have constructed a gingerbread house for customers to enjoy and take photos of while they wait for their travels. The 4-foot-tall house was built with the help of students studying construction technologies, culinary arts, electrical trades, and gaming and multimedia. The gingerbread house will be on display beginning Friday, December 13.
The Joseph L. Bruno Rail Station is the ninth-busiest station in the country, serving more than 800,000 people each year. Amtrak achieved an all-time ridership record in its Fiscal Year 2024, with 32.8 million customer trips. The public is encouraged to enjoy the music and visit the rail station this holiday season.
