CDTA offers countless options for getting around the Capital Region. From Navigator, to discounted corporate programs to reduced fares. The fares on this page are valid as of April 1, 2024.

Customers can use their Navigator smart card or mobile ticket to access CDTA services. You can learn more about Navigator here.

CDTA Fares offer a good value providing convenient, reliable transit for the Capital Region.
Base Cash Fare - $1.50
The base fare is $1.50. 

BusPlus Cash Fare - $2.00

BusPlus offers frequent, limited stop service on the Capital Region's busiest travell corridors. The Red Line (Route #905) operates along Central Avenue and State Street serving the communities of Albany, Colonie, Niskayuna and Schenectady. The Blue Line (Route #922/923) serves communities along the Hudson River including Albany, Menands, Watervliet, Troy, Cohoes and Waterford.

The Purple Line (Route #910) operates along Washington & Western Avenues while providing connections to Crossgates Mall Station and UAlbany's Uptown Campus. BusPlus offers amenities including larger stations, real time information, complimentary Wi-Fi and charging along with free access to the TimesUnion.com while riding.

CDTA's Summer Fun Pass - $44
This pass allows kids 17 and under to ride all of CDTA's regular routes anytime from July 1 through August 31 for one low price of $44.00.

With the new blue there's a better way to get to work and school. Commuter buses from the Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) offer high-back, luxury seating in a climate-controlled environment, so you can arrive at your destination feeling relaxed & ready to go.
