ALBANY, NY (June 17, 2014) The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) has teamed up with the Albany Dutchmen for the third year in a row to provide free baseball instruction to area kids during a series of one hour clinics in Albany.
The CDTA “Come Play Clinics” will take place on June 22nd, June 29th, and July 13th from
1:00pm-2:00pm at the Plumeri Sports Complex, 20 Frisbee Avenue. Boys and girls, ages 6 years through high school, will have an opportunity to meet and work with baseball players and coaches from some of the best colleges and university programs in the nation. Pre-registration or equipment is not required.
“As a strong community partner, we feel it’s important to find ways to offer Capital Region youth access to special experiences,” said CDTA Chairman David M. Stackrow. “Our partnership with the Albany Dutchmen is a prime example of that. We hope all who participate have a great time and can come away with some valuable life lessons.”
To make getting to and from the clinic easier, CDTA has donated Day Passes that kids can pick up if needed at Trinity Alliance of the Capital Region located at 15 Trinity Place, Albany. Passes can be picked up any time prior to the start of the clinics.
