(ALBANY) - The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) announced that on Thursday, July 4, 2013, in observance of Independence Day, CDTA service will operate on a Sunday/Holiday schedule. Only bus routes that operate on Sundays and Holidays will be in service. Regular service will resume on Friday, July 5, 2013. NX Northway commuter service will not operate its regularly scheduled service on Thursday, July 4, 2013. NX Northway commuter will resume regular service on Friday, July 5, 2013.
CDTA will provide extra service to accommodate the 4th of July fireworks show at the Empire State Plaza including special service that will operate on Route 5 from downtown Schenectady to downtown Albany. Each of the routes will provide an extra trip in both directions after the fireworks are done.

Jefferson Street will be closed:
473 Southbound: Reg. Route, to Lt. on Crescent St., to Rt. Nelson Ave., Rt. Crescent Ave., to Rt. In to Racino. ( REVERSE BACK )
Northbound Trolley: Reg. Route, to Nelson Ave. continue past Crescent St. then Rt. On
Crescent Ave. in to the Racino. ( REVERSE BACK )
Southbound Trolley: Leaving Racino: Lt. Crescent Ave., Lt. Nelson Ave. to Reg. Route.
Saratoga FireCracker 4 Road Race - Thursday July 4, 2013 Starting at 8:50am - 9:10am
ROUTE 50 NORTH ONLY: Right 50 to straight on Circular, to Right Lake, Left Weibel Ave., cross over Route 50 to Old Gick Rd., to Regular Route.
472 East: Right West Ave, Left West Circular, to Circular, to Right Lake, to Regular Route.
472 West: ( Reverse Back)
473 East: Right Van Dam, straight on to Church, to Left West Ave, Left West Circular, to Circular, to Right Park Pl. to Reg. Route. ( Reverse Back)
Saratoga Parade - Thursday July 4, 2013 Starting at 10:00am - 11:30am
Broadway in Saratoga will be closed from Van Dam/Arterial Rt. 50 south to Circular St for the July 4 Parade. The parade will start at N. Broadway/Rock St. to Congress Park. Please follow the reroute below for the following lines:
Route 50 Northbound: Regular route on Ballston Ave (Rt. 50) continue straight on Circular St (by the Stewarts and Holiday Inn) stay on Circular St (cross over Lake), right on Excelsior Ave to regular route.
Route 50 Southbound: Regular route on Excelsior Ave, to a left on Circular St (crossover Lake Ave), continue straight on Circular St to Ballston Ave to regular route.
Route 472 Eastbound: Regular route on Church St, Left on Clinton St, Right on Clement Ave (past Embury Dr.), continue straight to First St., Left N. Broadway, Right East Ave (crossover Arterial Rt. 50), Right Excelsior Ave, to a left on Circular St, Left on Lake Ave to regular route.
Route 472 Westbound: Reverse on the way back to the Rail Station.
Route 473 Southbound to Racino: Regular route to Embury Apts., after servicing Embury Apts. go Left on Clinton St., Right on Clement Ave, continue straight to First St., Left N. Broadway, Right East Ave (crossover Arterial Rt. 50), Right Excelsior Ave, Left on Circular St (crossover Lake Ave) continue straight Circular St to regular route.
Route 473 Northbound to Skidmore: Regular route on Circular St (crossover Lake Ave) continue straight on Circular St, Right Excelsior Ave, Left East Ave (crossover Arterial Rt. 50), Left N. Broadway, Right First St. continue straight to Clement Ave, Left Clinton St., service Embury Apts. to regular route.
Route 875 Northbound Trolley: From Broadway go right on Circular St. continue straight to Lake Ave, Left Lake Ave, Right High Rock St., Right Circular St. (crossover Lake Ave) to reg. route.
Route 875 Southbound Trolley: From Lake Ave go right on High Rock St., Right Circular St. (crossover Lake Ave) continue on Circular to Broadway go Left on Broadway to reg. route.
