Annual Recognition Honors Employees Who Keep the Capital Region Moving

ALBANY, NY (March 17, 2026) On Wednesday, March 18, 2026, The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) will join transit agencies across the country in celebrating Transit Employee Appreciation Day, recognizing the hardworking employees who keep communities moving safely and efficiently every day of the year.

“Transit Employee Appreciation Day is a chance to recognize the people who make CDTA run. Our operators, mechanics, supervisors, dispatchers, customer service team and so many others who show up every day to keep the Capital Region moving safely and reliably,” said CDTA CEO, Frank Annicaro. “As we refine service and continue expanding innovative mobility options, I’m proud of this team and grateful for the essential work they do for our riders and communities year-round.”
