Capital Region Remembers and Honors Heroes Over the Next Week
ALBANY, NY (May 22, 2019) The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) will run on a Sunday/Holiday schedule on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27, 2019. Northway Xpress (NX) commuter buses will not run. Regular weekday service will resume on Tuesday, May 28, 2019. The CDTA Sales window will be closed on Memorial Day and reopen at 9:00am on Tuesday, May 28, 2019.
In addition, service will be temporarily rerouted to accommodate various Capital Region Memorial Day parades throughout the next week and the reroutes are as follows:
Wednesday, May 22, 2019
- Scotia Memorial Parade (6:00pm – 9:30pm):
Route #450 in to Scotia:
Regular route to left on Glen Avenue to right on North Holmes Street to left on Sacandaga Road, to right on 5th to left on Vly Road to right on Cuthbert Street to left on Route 50 to regular route.
Route #450 Back to Schenectady:
Regular route to right on Cuthbert Street toleft on Vly Road, to right on 5th to left on Sacandaga Road, to right on North Holmes Street to left on Glen Avenue to right over bridge to regular route.
Route #353
(Westbound): Regular route to left on Glen Avenue, to right on Holmes Street to 5th to regular route.
(Eastbound): Regular route to Holmes Street to left on Glen Avenue over the Bridge
- Waterford Memorial Parade (7:00pm – 8:30pm):
Route #85: All Route 85 buses will turn around behind Hannaford and provide service according to the schedule time points. No service to Waterford until the end of the parade.

- Green Island Memorial Parade (5:30pm – 8:00pm):
Route #182: The route will unable to service Green Island during the parade and will use Route 32 Maplewood in both directions, and then detour in Green Island using George Street to Tibbits, and reverse in both directions during the ceremony on Cohoes Avenue
- Rotterdam Memorial Parade (6:00pm – 7:30pm):
Route #763 (Westbound): Curry Road to right on Greenpoint Avenue to right Altamont Avenue to left Chrisler Avenue to left Lakeview to right Crane to left 10th to Congress Street to left Broadway to left Vischer Avenue to left to Guilderland to regular route
- Saratoga Memorial Parade (6:00pm – 8:00pm):
Route #450 (Northbound): Regular route to straight on Circular to right on Excelsior to left on East Avenue to right on Route 50 to regular route.
Route #450 (Southbound): Regular route to left on East Avenue to left Excelsior to left Circular to regular route.
Route #451 (from Kirby): Regular route to right Clinton to left Division to right Rail Road to left Washington to right Federal to left Congress to right Hamilton to right Ballston Avenue to straight to Circular to right Lake regular route.
Route #451 (from DSS): Regular route to left on Lake Avenue to left Circular to straight on Ballston to right Hamilton to left Congress to right Federal to left Washington to right Rail Road to left Division to left Clinton to regular route.
Route #452 (from Skidmore): Regular route to straight on Clinton to left Division to right Rail Road to left Washington to right Federal to left Congress to right Hamilton to right Ballston Avenue to straight to Circular to regular route.
