CDTA LAUNCHES FAVORITE BUS OPERATOR CONTEST
IN HONOR OF INTERNATIONAL BUS DRIVER APPRECIATION DAY
(Albany, NY) - The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) is inviting riders to acknowledge International Bus Driver Appreciation Day this Sunday, March 18, 2012 by participating in a contest honoring their favorite operator.
During the week of March 18th, customers are invited to email at cdta@cdta.org to submit the name of their favorite CDTA operator, list the route and share a story as to why they chose this operator.
“Our operators work hard every day in all kinds of weather to safely take customers to work, school, medical appointments, shopping and social events,” said CEO Carm Basile. “They all take pride in keeping the Capital Region and the economy moving so letting our operators know that they are appreciated is a small gesture that delivers high impact.”
All entries will be placed in a random drawing for a 31-Day Rolling pass or passes of equivalent value. The deadline to submit entries is Sunday, March 25, 2012. The winner will be notified during the week of March 26th.
All operator names entered into the contest will be placed in a random drawing for one winner to receive a prize.
Note: Contest participants must give their complete contact information including name, address, telephone number and email address to qualify for the prize. All contest entry information may be used by CDTA for promotional purposes. One entry per person.
