CDTA Moves into Phase 2 of the Transit Development Plan

CDTA Moves into Phase 2 of the Transit Development Plan

May 29, 2024

Community Feedback is Wanted for this Next Phase

Albany, N.Y. (May 29, 2024) The Capital District Transportation Authority’s (CDTA) Board of Directors, at their monthly Board Meeting on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, were given an update on CDTA’s Transit Development Plan (TDP). The TDP is a forward-looking plan that will outline a strategic vision for the CDTA service network. It will be designed to enhance and expand transit services, providing a better experience for customers and the community.

As the planning process moves along, CDTA is reaching out to gather feedback on proposed principles and service concepts that will make the transit network more efficient, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, support economic development, and improve mobility for more people.

As part of CDTA’s commitment to listening to customers and incorporating their insight into the decision-making process, a survey has been created to collect the public’s input on the proposed service concepts. To participate, visit the project website at https://www.cdta-tdp.com. By participating in the survey, the public can directly influence the future of transit in the Capital Region. Feedback received will be used to pinpoint areas where CDTA can make changes to its service, infrastructure, and amenities that better serve its customers.

CDTA invites you to participate in these discussions, learn more about the TDP while sharing your thoughts and ideas on service concepts, infrastructure improvements, and transit amenities in Albany, Schenectady, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Montgomery, and Warren counties.
