Universal Access Partnership Serving SUNY Poly CNSE
Agreement includes expanded services and construction of new bus stops on Fuller Road
Albany, NY – Fuller Road Management Corporation (FRMC) and the Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) today announced a partnership featuring universal access to the CDTA route network for SUNY Polytechnic Institute’s Colleges of Nanoscale Science and Engineering’s (SUNY Poly CNSE) 3,500 students, staff, and employees. The agreement also calls for additional service and the construction of new bus stops on Fuller Road north of Tricentennial Drive. The expanded service will enhance access to SUNY Poly CNSE’s Nanotech complex while providing students with increased accessibility to points of interest throughout the Capital Region.

A SUNY Poly ID is all students and employees will need for unlimited access to their classes, workplaces and anywhere else CDTA can take them,” said CDTA Chairman of the Board David M. CDTA will provide bus service to SUNY Poly CNSE via new Fuller Road bus stops, which will be constructed this summer. Four existing routes (#114, #117, #190, and #712) will serve the new bus stops upon completion in the fall. The agreement includes access to CDTA’s STAR paratransit and Northway Xpress commuter services. A map detailing the revised routes is included.
SUNY Poly CNSE’s 1.3 million-square-foot Albany NanoTech megaplex is home to more than 3,500 scientists, researchers, engineers, students, faculty, and staff, in addition to Tech Valley High School. Access to CDTA bus routes will be gained through swiping or tapping a valid identification card into the bus farebox.
The universal access model encourages riders to take full advantage of unlimited service and adopt a sustainable lifestyle by incorporating CDTA travel into their daily living beyond the commute to school or work.
