“CDTA is thrilled to begin operating the Lake George Summer Trolley Service with an expanded schedule that includes longer operating hours,” said CDTA CEO Carm Basile. “We’re also excited to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Lake George Summer Trolley. It’s important that we support the community with easing traffic congestion and parking needs, as well as provide businesses with a mobility option for their employees. We look forward to a busy summer season in Lake George, and we hope visitors and residents take advantage of our menu of mobility options.”

This will be CDTA’s first year operating trolley service in Lake George after Greater Glens Falls Transit merged into CDTA. This year also marks the 30th Anniversary of trolley service in Lake George. Trolley service began Memorial Day weekend in 1994 to help ease traffic congestion and parking concerns. In the first season, Greater Glens Falls Transit says it carried more than 24,000 customers on the summer trolley service.

“We are happy to have CDTA as a partner in tourism, connecting the beautiful region to our village as the trolley returns for another great season,” said Village of Lake George Mayor Ray Perry. “There’s something for everyone in Lake George Village, whether it’s your first visit or if you’ve been returning for years as part of a family tradition, and CDTA will get you to your destination safely and efficiently.”

"For three decades, the Lake George Trolley has been more than just a mode of transportation—it has been a lifeline for our community, seamlessly connecting visitors to our beautiful attractions and providing seasonal workers with reliable and affordable transit. This service has promoted sustainable tourism and supported the local economy by ensuring that both visitors and workers can move easily and efficiently throughout the area. The impact of the trolley service on our community is immeasurable, enhancing the overall experience of our region for everyone," said Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Gina Mintzer

"The Lake George Summer trolley is vital for both our guests and staff," said Business Owner Laura Kohls. "As a local business owner, we have relied on the trolley since it began in 1994. Thank you to all the staff at CDTA as we start the new season.”
