A new gingerbread display created by Questar III BOCES students will also be on display
RENSSELAER, NY (December 4, 2025) The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) is once again partnering with Questar III BOCES to offer holiday concerts this festive season at the Joseph L. Bruno Rail Station. Morning commuters will enjoy the joyful melodies of the holidays performed by students from Rensselaer Junior-Senior High School and Columbia High School. The schools will have students from their band and choir programs.
A large gingerbread display, featuring a 5-foot house and train, will be on display! Questar III BOCES Career and Technical Education students from Robert H. Gibson Technical School in Troy constructed the gingerbread display for a second year in a row for customers to enjoy and take photos of while they wait for their travels. Construction students built the structure, while culinary arts students focused on baking gingerbread and creating decorations out of fondant, candy, and other edible items.
The Joseph L. Bruno Rail Station is the ninth-busiest station in the country, serving more than 900,000 people each year. The public is encouraged to visit the rail station this holiday season to enjoy the music and gingerbread display!
