Annual Day Honors Employees and Their Contribution to the Community
ALBANY, NY (March 17, 2025) On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) is asking the community to thank a transit worker! CDTA, and transit systems across the country, will celebrate hard-working transit employees who keep our communities moving safely and efficiently, seven days a week, 365 days a year. CDTA is celebrating its 775 employees in several ways for Transit Employee Appreciation Day and is encouraging its customers to do the same.
“The hard work and dedication of our amazing operators, mechanics, supervisors, customer service representatives, dispatchers, and so many others are the driving force behind CDTA," said Interim CDTA CEO Michael P. Collins. "CDTA has expanded to Warren County, operates three Bus Rapid Transit routes, and continues to create innovative mobility options for customers. We are fortunate to have some of the very best transit workers providing essential services every day to the Capital Region. We would love for the community to come together and show their appreciation!”
CDTA encourages riders to say, “Thank You” when they ride on Tuesday, March 18. If a customer or member of the community would like to submit a formal commendation, they can call the customer service center at (518) 482-8822 or visit our website, www.cdta.org and fill out a comment form. Frontline workers will also be featured on CDTA social media sites over the next few days.
