CDTA will offer free rides on New Year’s Eve to assist with Stop DWI efforts
ALBANY, NY (December 19, 2024) The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) will operate on a Sunday/Holiday schedule on Christmas Day, Wednesday, December 25, 2024. There will be no Northway Xpress (NX) or Thruway Xpress (TX) commuter services. Regular weekday service will resume on Thursday, December 26, 2024. The CDTA Sales window will also be closed on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, and will reopen on Thursday, December 26, 2024.
CDTA will operate on a Sunday/Holiday schedule on New Year’s Day, Wednesday, January 1, 2025. There will be no Northway Xpress (NX) or Thruway Xpress (TX) commuter services. Regular weekday service will resume on Thursday, January 2, 2025. The CDTA Sales window will also be closed on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, and will reopen on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.
CDTA will also be offering free rides on New Year’s Eve to assist with STOP DWI efforts. Beginning at 8 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, Tuesday, December 31, 2024, until 2 a.m. on January 1, 2025, service will be free of charge.
Customers looking for more information about holiday service can call CDTA’s Customer Service Center at (518) 482-8822. Customer Service Representatives are on duty 6:00am-7:00pm weekdays, 8:00am-6:00pm Saturdays and 8:00am-5:00pm on Sundays/Holidays.
