Seasonal Service to Begin; Low ridership reductions & discontinuations

 





CDTA ANNOUNCES MAY SERVICE CHANGES

ALBANY, N.Y. (May 4, 2015) – The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) has announced the following service changes will go into effect on Sunday, May 24, 2015. The changes include the start of trolley service in Saratoga Springs and service to Grafton State Park. Some of the changes will make schedules more reliable, while areas with low ridership will see reductions.

Seasonal Service

  • Route 875 (Saratoga Summer Trolley)Trolley service will operate from Sunday May 24, 2015 through Monday September 7, 2015. A detailed schedule will be released.
  • Route 96 (Grafton State Park)Service to Grafton State Park will begin on Monday June 29, 2015 and will run through Friday August 28, 2015. A detailed schedule will be released.

Service Reductions

  • Route 352 (McClellan Street & Altamont Avenue)Weekday morning service will see trips starting one hour later. Southbound service will now start at 5:55am and Northbound service will start at 6:25am.
  • Route 719 (Albany/Elm Avenue Park & Ride)The Eastbound 8:56am trip into downtown Albany and the Westbound return trip at 12:40pm will be eliminated.

Time Adjustments

Minor time adjustments will be made to the following routes to improve service reliability. Please review new schedules to check for trip departure and arrival modifications:

Route #87 (Beman Park)

Route #100 (Mid City Belt)

Route #182 (Latham Walmart)

Route #353 (Scotia/Mt. Pleasant)

Route #712 (Harriman Campus/Patroon Creek)
