: CDTA is about to release the attached RFP in “final” format as a sealed procurement. In order to make sure we are preparing a specification that is concise and easy to understand we are seeking feedback from the experts in the transit vehicle manufacturing industry. If you wish to review the attached DRAFT RFP and provide comments we welcome your input. As this document is still in DRAFT format there are some final revisions that we still need to make regarding formatting (pagination), information to include(radio system wiring and paint schemes) and other final decisions to be made. However I would say this document is 98% ready. If you wish to have comments considered please forward them in writing to my attention via email. The format is as follows 1. You realize that all comments are just that, comments. CDTA reserves the right to make changes or to keep the document “as is”. 2. You have the understanding that all dates contained within this DRAFT document are subject to change upon release of the actual RFP on or about August 1st. 3. You submit all comments in writing via email on letterhead from your firm. We will not accept marked up RFP’s as comments. All comments should list the specific section number and heading of the area you are referencing, detail what your comment is, your proposed change, and why you are making the suggestion. 4. You send all comments to me at stacyss@cdta.org no later than 4pm on Friday July 23rd. I am out of the office all of next week on a Leadership APTA trip and will NOT have time to answer emails and won’t have access to my office phone. Please be assured that we will review your comments after July 23rd and our ultimate goal is an August 1st official release as well as a December 2010 final award schedule. The size of the attached zip file is rather large, please advise if you received this email and also if you wish to receive further correspondence regarding this RFP.
