CDTA Celebrates Transit Employee Appreciation Day

National Transit Employee Appreciation Day

March 18, 2024

Annual Day Honors Employees and Their Contribution to the Community

ALBANY, NY (March 17, 2024) On Monday, March 18, 2024, don’t forget to thank a transit worker in the community. CDTA, and transit systems across the country, will celebrate our hard-working transit employees, both on the front lines and behind the scenes, who keep our communities moving safely and efficiently, seven days a week, 365 days a year. CDTA is celebrating its more than 750 employees in several ways and is encouraging its customers to do the same.

“The contributions of our operators, mechanics, supervisors, customer service representatives, dispatchers, managers and so many others are what makes CDTA go,” said CDTA CEO Carm Basile. “Whether customers ride every day or use one of our other mobility options for a trip to a medical appointment, or to the grocery store, CDTA gets you where you need to go. I hope the community will join us and show their appreciation.” CDTA encourages riders to say, “Thank You” when they ride on Monday, March 18.

Customers can also share their appreciation via social media, using the hashtag “TransitEmployee AppreciationDay.” If a customer or member of the community would like to submit a formal commendation, they can call the customer service center at (518) 482-8822 or visit our website, www.cdta.org and fill out a comment form. Frontline workers will also be featured on CDTA social media sites over the next few days
